The land on the West Side of Fraser Point is owned by
William Fraser and leased back to the cottage/camp owners.
Total cost of the lease for this cottage including
municipal taxes is 3400$ (2021 season). School taxes were
an additional 75$ (2021 Season). The actual contract for
lease is Five years. A copy of the leasing agreement is
attached.
The property is directly on Lake St Francis (about 65 feet
of frontage). The lake in that area is not very deep and is
a bit marshy with weeds growing through the water in
sections. Just a short trip out on a boat would lead to
great swimming area. The views from the property are of the
lake and neighbouring islands, to the south of farmers'
fields and cattle grazing. To the south and west is the
Lake Saint-François National Wildlife Area, this protected
area covers over 1,313 hectares (3,244 acres) on the south
shore of Lake Saint-François. The wildlife area is open to
the public and includes: Canoeing, Nature interpretation,
Kayaking, Wildlife observation, Plant life observation,
Hiking trails: 14 km.
